Frequently Asked Questions

Jewelry care and info

What is electroforming?

Electroforming is the process of creating or "growing" a copper shell around an object using copper wire, graphite, electricity and acid.

Finished pieces are not solid copper, and will usually have plant material, ethically sourced and cleaned animal remains such as bones or dead insects, resin or precious stone inside.

All pieces with plant material or animal remains are thoroughly cleaned, dehydrated and sealed before electroformed, so that there is no chance for an object to "spoil" from the inside out.

Jewerly cleaning & care

  • All jewelry is sealed with Protectaclear to prevent oxidation past any patina that has already been added.
  • Electroforming creates a copper shell around an object so pieces must be handled with care.
  • Do not shower or sleep wearing your jewelry.
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and moisture.
  • Copper chains and findings may patina over time.
  • Clean using a gentle, damp cloth.

Allergy information

All our findings and chains are certified nickel-free.

We do share our household with a cat, and even though we pack orders from a different building than our living quarters, we handle and make jewelry in our living space, so we cannot guarantee they are allergen-free.

Shipping options & information

Clothes, such as t-shirts, are shipped by our fulfillment partner and not by us.

We ship orders in the mail only. We do NOT offer local pickup.

  • For domestic shipping, we offer Postnord and DHL
  • For EU and the rest of the world, we offer Postnord, UPS and DHL.

As soon as we hand the package to the carrier it is literally out of our hands, but please contact us if any issues arises!

Clothes shipping information

Right now, clothes, such as t-shirts are shipped by our fulfillment partner and not by us.

They may ship from different parts of the world, depending on where the customer (you) is located, and the avaliable supply.

Shirts in larger sizes, such as 4XL-5XL may ship from the US and will be subject to customs fees for order within the EU.

This is nothing we have any control over, and until we start our own screen printing production it's important to us to be as accessible as possible, so we opted to having more sizes at the drawbacks of possible longer shipping times/customs fees.

My package is stuck!

I’m really sorry to hear that!

The best thing you can do is give them some patience. ’Stuck’ packages doesn’t necessarily mean that they’ve gotten lost, and packages will sometimes sit in one location for weeks before moving again. We don’t have any more information than the tracking number we give you, and your local post office should be able to assist you further.

If you need help filing a claim for a lost package, please contact us.

Address and name change

Contact us within two hours with your name and order number if you want them combined or if you need your address or name changed.

If your order has been sent out with the wrong name and address and gets returned to us, we can re-send it if you pay the shipping fee.

Order holding

If you'd like us to hold your order, email us your order number within 2 hours after placing an order, and we'll send it out on a later date.

Right now, clothes, such as t-shirts are shipped by our fulfillment partner and not by us. As such, we cannot hold those orders!

Please contact us as soon as possible and we will help you make it right!

The sooner you get it touch, the more likely it is we can fix the issue right away.

Ethics & sustainability

All our jewelry and products featuring plant materials and animal remains, such as bone, antler or dead insects, are ethically sourced.

We find bones and antlers in the woods, they are gifted to us from local hunters, or found at flea markets and at thrift stores.

Leather cords for jewelry are repurposed.

We source our most of our raw material for electroforming in the woods or in our backyard.

Some objects are 3D-printed, or cast in resin as well.

We are committed to producing as little waste as possible, and reuse as much as we can!

So, to summarize: No animals are harmed. We repurpose everything we can, and lot of our raw materials are found, thrifted and gifted.
